Hawx Pest Control was founded in 2013 by Scott Wilson and Matt Mehr with a vision to revolutionize the industry through customer-centric service and innovation. Starting in Far West, Utah, they embraced a "How Hard Can It Be" mentality, quickly expanding with the help of JK Gleave, whose industry expertise propelled their growth. In just three years, Hawx scaled from one to five locations, and by 2020, it had expanded to 15 locations across California, Texas, and the Carolinas, surpassing one million serviced accounts. Today, Hawx remains a leader in pest control, committed to hiring top talent and delivering unmatched service to protect homes and businesses nationwide.
As an intern, you’ll sell Hawx’s pest control solutions directly to homeowners, gaining hands-on experience in sales, communication, and business strategy. You’ll also receive comprehensive training before the summer to ensure you’re fully prepared for success. This high-performance internship allows you to learn how to close deals, network with like-minded college students and business professionals, thrive in a competitive environment, and set you up for success later in your career. Interns make an average of $15,000 over the summer and receive a $2,500 scholarship. Interns move to a new state for the summer, choosing work dates that align with their school calendar, and live in company-provided housing with there sales team.

This is an internship primarily for business students however anyone with a desire to learn the psychology of sales will be considered for this position. As an intern, you'll have the chance to work alongside experienced sales professionals and business leaders in a fast-paced, direct-to-home sales environment. You'll learn the in's and outs of our sales process, develop strong client relationships, and be involved in the growth of our brand across different regions.
At Hawx, we don’t just teach you sales—we dive into the psychology behind it. You’ll learn how to build rapport, understand customer needs, and close deals with confidence. All interns must complete our sales checklist before reaching out to prospects.
Our team of experienced managers are passionate about teaching and have all gone through the program themselves. They are dedicated to helping interns succeed and reach their full potential.
On average interns take home 15k over a 3-month summer. Plenty take home more and some take home less. Pay is performance based.
